Integrity policy

1. General

This policy regarding integrity and marketing (” Integrity policy”) describes how Lars Pettersson Elektronik AB, organization number 556315-0456, Uppsala Science Park, Dag Hammarskjölds väg 34A, 751 83 Uppsala, e-mail: info@batsound.com, (” Pettersson”, ” we”) collects, uses, shares and stores your personal data. 

The integrity policy applies when Pettersson provides services and products in conjunction with purchase orders, repair services and additional contact with Pettersson, such as visiting out website. 

You should always feel secure when providing personal data to us. This Integrity Policy is designed to show you how your personal data is processed securely in accordance with current legislation. 

2. Data controller

Pettersson is the data controller for Pettersson’s processing of your personal data and is responsible for ensuring that the processing takes place in accordance with applicable legislation. 

3. When do we process your personal data?

In order for you to visit our website, purchase our goods and services or to contact us for information, we need to collect and process your personal data. 

We may collect and process your personal data when you make a purchase with us, use our customer service, visit our website or an event that we arrange or in other ways have contact with Pettersson. The data that is collected from you when making a purchase is necessary to fulfill the agreement with Pettersson and for us to provide our services and offers.

4. What type of personal data do we process?

The personal data Pettersson may collect and process from customers and users of our customer support include: 

  • Name and personal ID (e.g. social security number, national ID or organization number)
  • Address
  • Phone number and e-mail address
  • Payment information
  • Customer number
  • IP address and information about your usage of Pettersson’s website 

5. Why do we process your personal data?

Pettersson processes your personal data to: 

  • Fulfill our obligations towards you as a customer. For example, completion of purchase, invoicing and providing of support;
  • Offer general customer care and customer service. For example, answer your questions and correct incorrect data;
  • Provide information and customized marketing on the website, by mail, email, phone or SMS/MMS regarding Pettersson’s and selected partners’ goods and services;
  • Manage the customer relationship and provide our services;
  • Provide relevant information and customized offers in newsletters and on the web;
  • Assess which payment methods we can offer you. For example, by doing credit assessments;
  • Improve and develop services, products and features;
  • Perform risk management as well as preventing fraud;
  • Comply with the requirements of applicable legislation, such as accounting and taxation laws. 

Pettersson can also use stored personal data for statistics, market research, market and customer analyzes, business tracking and development of business systems and methods for purchasing goods and services.

6. The legal grounds for us to process your personal data

Pettersson’s processing of your personal data rests on a number of legal bases. These are described in this section. 

Your personal data may be processed in order to fulfill an agreement with you as a customer, for example, to make reservations and carry out the purchase of goods. 

Your personal data may also be processed on the basis of a balance of interests. This applies, for example, to the process of sending you offers about our products and services and to the process of making a limited segmentation of customers. Pettersson does not handle sensitive personal data based on balance of interests and does not perform any processing that constitutes profiling on the basis of a balance of interests. 

In some cases Pettersson may have a legal obligation to process personal data, for example, to comply with the requirements of accounting and taxation laws.

7. Breakdown of our personal data processing

Personal data will be collected for different purposes: 

a)  To administer, develop and deliver our goods and services as well as provide support. The legal basis for this is the fulfillment of the purchase agreement. Categories of personal data that will be collected: Name, adress, phone number, e-mail address, IP adress. The data is stored for up to two years after your last activity with Pettersson, e.g. making a purchase from us or contacting our customer support. 

b) To ensure that legal requirements are complied with, such as “bokföringslagen”. The legal basis for this is jurisdictional obligation. Categories of personal data that will be collected: Name, adress, phone number, e-mail address, IP adress. The data is stored for as long as required by applicable legislation. 

c) To market Pettersson goods and services by mail, email, telephone and/or SMS/MMS. The legal basis for this is balance of interests. Categories of personal data that will be collected: Name, adress, phone number, e-mail address, IP adress. The data is stored for up to two years after your last activity with Pettersson, e.g. making a purchase from us or contacting our customer support. 

8. How long do we store your personal data?

We only store your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose of the processing. Pettersson may store the data for longer if it’s required by law, to administer sold software licenses or to monitor our legal interests, e.g. if there is a legal process. 

Pettersson normally stores your personal data for a maximum of 24 months after your last purchase or interaction with us, but see previous paragraph. 

9. Who do we share your personal data with?

Pettersson may share your personal data with third parties, such as Pettersson’s cooperation partners as well as card and communications service providers. 

Third party which Pettersson discloses information to or otherwise provides information about a user, account holder or customer may use the information only for the purposes of selling and marketing Pettersson’s services and products or for the purpose of providing services related to Pettersson’s agreement with you as a user, account holder or customer. If you apply for credit when purchasing a good or a service, your data may be transfered to a credit bureau. 

Personal data may also be disclosed by Pettersson if it is necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements or government requirements, to safeguard Pettersson’s legal interests or to detect and prevent fraud and other security or technical issues. 

Pettersson may transfer your personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA, if any of Pettersson’s suppliers or partners are located there. If personal data are transferred to any country outside the EU/EEA, Pettersson will take steps to ensure that personal data remain protected and also take the necessary steps to legally transfer personal data to non-EU/EEA countries.

We will not sell your personal information to third parties.

10. Possible changes of Pettersson’s integrity policy

Pettersson reserves the right to make changes to this Integrity Policy at any time. Pettersson will inform you with reasonable notice if the Integrity Policy changes. If you do not accept the amended Integrity Policy, you are entitled to terminate the agreement with Pettersson before the revised Integrity Policy enters into force. You can terminate the agreement by contacting Pettersson.

11. Protection of your personal data

You should always be able to feel secure when sharing your personal data with us. Pettersson has thus taken necessary security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, manipulation and loss. 

12. What are your rights?

Pettersson is responsible for processing your personal data in accordance with applicable legislation..

Pettersson will, at your request or on its own initiative, rectify, disassociate, erase or supplement your personal data if the data is found to be incorrect, incomplete or misleading.

You have the right to request:

Access to your personal data. You have the right to have a filing extract or a copy of all personal data Pettersson is processing about you. This right can be used free of charge once per year at any time through a signed request. The filing extract shall contain information about the data stored about you, the purpose of the processing and if data has or shall be transferred to a third party. Furthermore, the filing extract must contain information about where the data has been retrieved (if not collected from you), whether the data is subject to automated decision making (including profiling) and the predicted time period Pettersson intends to store the data (or the criteria used to determine this period). You are also entitled to receive information about the rights listed below.

Rectification of your personal data. Upon request, Pettersson will correct incorrect or incomplete processed data.

Erasure of your personal data. You are entitled to request that your personal data is erased if the storage of data no longer is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. If there is a legislative requirement to store your personal data or if there are other legitimate reasons why Pettersson must store your data, such as unpaid debts, your personal data can not be erased. We will end all processing of personal data for other purposes than complying with the legislation.

Restriction of processing. You are entitled to request that your personal data be processed for certain restricted purposes. For example, you may request a restriction when you believe your information is incorrect and you have requested a correction. While the accuracy of the data is being investigated, its treatment will be restricted.

If Pettersson has disclosed your personal data to a third party, we will notify each recipient of any rectifications, erasure of data as well as restriction of the processing of data.

If Pettersson is processing personal data based on a balance of interest, you have the right to object to such processing. In the case of opposition, Pettersson will continue the processing only if there are more compelling interests to do so. Pettersson has the burden of proof for such reasons.

You may object to your personal data being processed for direct marketing for free at any time. Pettersson does not process your personal data for direct marketing purposes if you oppose to such treatment. Once we have received your objection, we will cease to process your personal data for such marketing purposes. Any objection may be sent to info@batsound.com. If you have consented to Pettersson storing and using your personal data for marketing purposes, you may revoke that consent at any time. Such recall may be limited to only part of the treatment, such as direct marketing.

You own the right to file any complaints regarding the processing of your personal data to the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
